1. What is Smart Rail Enhanced Amenities Solution?
Smart Rail Enhanced Amenities is a self-contained, rail-compliant vending solution that provides hot and cold food, beverages, and integrated Wi-Fi connectivity for passengers on Victoria’s long-distance VLocity services. I
 
t is designed to be installed with minimal disruption and operated with no ongoing burden for rail staff.
 
2.What products will be offered in the vending machines?
Our machines will include:

Packaged hot meals (e.g., noodles, soups, rice dishes) 
- 
Cold sandwiches, wraps, and salads 
- 
Bottled drinks, juices, energy drinks, tea, coffee 
- 
Snacks, confectionery, and healthier choices 
3. How do passengers pay for items?
All machines will use modern tap-and-go cashless payments, including debit/credit cards and digital wallets, to ensure ease of use.
4. How will these vending machines be installed?
The machines are modular and compact, occupying around 4 square metres of space, usually repurposing oversized luggage shelves. Installation can be completed overnight or during scheduled maintenance periods with minimal disruption.
From unpack to install the entire process can be completed in approx. 2 hours. 
5. What about Wi-Fi?
Each machine includes built-in passenger Wi-Fi hotspot capability to improve digital connectivity on routes where coverage is limited, further enhancing the travel experience.
 
6. Who will maintain and restock the machines?
Three Kings Pty Ltd will fully manage stocking, remote inventory monitoring, and maintenance through its dedicated service team.
This takes the burden off the operator and ensures consistent product availability.
 
7. What are the commercial terms?
We offer flexible commercial models, including a revenue-sharing agreement or a simple leasing/licensing arrangement, so that PTV (or other operators) can benefit financially with minimal risk or upfront costs.
 
8. Will these vending machines affect passenger seating?
No. They are designed to fit within existing under-utilized areas (such as large baggage racks) so that no passenger seating is lost.
 
9. When could this be available to passengers?
Pending approvals, pilot installations could be delivered within weeks, with broader rollout scheduled progressively once passenger feedback and operational results are confirmed.
